Police investigate woman's death
THE DEATH of a 40-year-old Newport woman is being investigated by the police together with the Health and Safety Executive.
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said they were called to an address in Capel Crescent on Tuesday afternoon.
She confirmed they were investigating the circumstances, with the assistance of the Health and Safety Executive, after the woman was found dead.
She added they could not confirm the cause of death at the moment but said a post mortem examination was due to be carried out.
A spokesman for the HSE said they were working with the police in their investigation.
