Newport County statement: free away coach travel for fans

Following a miserable week for Newport County - players, manager, fans and directors alike - we are in a position where the play-offs and promotion are still very much a possibility.

Although our position is perhaps not as strong as it was a week ago, we must still remember that a season is 42 games long and we must give everything to the cause to help Peter and the team through these last 8 games. A run of 4 or 5 straight wins and we will be right in the mix again.

The directors have met with Peter a number of times over the past month regarding the squad, and Peter still has confidence that this group of players can deliver promotion. We must all believe this and get behind them.

We have a massive game at BOGNOR on Saturday. The Directors are desperately keen to support the push for promotion in any way they can and want THE TWELFTH MAN in the best possible voice at Bognor and indeed all games for the rest of the season.

The club will pay for ALL coach away travel for the rest of the season, while we are in the hunt for promotion.

Coach travel will be booked by the club. Please contact Jo Hubbard at the club 01633 662262, so if you can make the trip and take advantage of FREE coach travel, we would love to see you there.

Supporters Club and the Royal Mail should book via their usual source and they too will enjoy FREE Travel.

All bookings need to be made by midday on Friday and define pick up points for the club buses. Other buses will pick up at their usual points.

This could make the difference, the players need confidence and we want to show this league what a big club we are.

We must all believe this is possible, and you can make the difference.

Spread the word, free coach travel on Saturday! Everyone at the club from directors, management and players are as desperate for success as all of our supporters. Let's stick together and make this dream a reality.

Its a great gesture that puts to bed the ridiculous "story" that the board dont want promotion. Come on boys !
